Rae Marín

President

Deputy Rae Marín was born and raised in Houston, TX. She moved to the Minnesota area as an adult and has been a member of NBPA MN since 2017. She served 6 years in the Army National Guard, holding military occupational specialty of Military Police (31B) and Internment/Resettlement Specialist (31E) for both the state of Texas and Minnesota. Following her service in the National Guard, she served an additional 3 years with the Army Reserve. She currently works for the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and is assigned to the Enforcement Service Division.

Chris Jenkins

Treasurer

Sergeant Chris Jenkins was born and raised in Minnesota. He grew up in North Minneapolis and attended DeLaSalle High School. Following high school, he attended the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, where he obtained a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. Officer Jenkins worked as a computer engineer before deciding to pursue a career in law enforcement. He began his career with the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office as a licensed deputy. After two years with the county, Sergeant Jenkins transferred to the Saint Paul Police Department where he currently works in the Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Unit.

Rajanee Michael

Vice President

Officer Rajanee Michael was raised in Brooklyn Park MN. She became interested in law enforcement after taking an introduction to criminal justice class and becoming a police explorer. Officer Michael attended Metropolitan state university where she completed her bachelors degree. Officer Michael currently works for the New Hope police department as a patrol officer and her additional duties include being a member of the mobile field force team, SWAT team operator and police explorer advisor. 

Malachi Slaughter

Secretary

Officer Malachi Slaughter has been with the Saint Paul Police Department for four years. He attended Inver Hills Community College where he completed his Associates of Applied Science to Law Enforcement and Associates of Arts Degrees. Officer Slaughter has been a top DWI-Enforcer for his agency receiving several recognitions from Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the MN Office of Traffic Safety. Officer Slaughter has been a member of NBPA since 2021, serving in various roles such as Executive Assistant and Interim Department Liaison.
