Scholarship Applications Open Now

The National Black Police Association – Minnesota Chapter in partnership with the African American Leadership Council of St. Paul, has established a scholarship to support and empower women pursuing careers in law enforcement and criminal justice, honoring Debbie Montgomery’s legacy of courage, leadership, and breaking barriers in policing.

The application consists of three parts:

1. A personal history form to be completed by the applicant.

2. An endorsement from, to be completed by a stakeholder in the candidate’s community (i.e., Religious/Spiritual Leader, Teacher, Mentor) or any licensed peace officer who has knowledge of the candidate.

3. An official transcript of law enforcement courses taken to date.
