The National Black Police Association – Minnesota Chapter has established a scholarship to provide financial assistance to qualified individuals seeking a career in law enforcement. To qualify, the student must meet all standards for admission to a board-certified Professional Peace Officer Education (PPOE) Program as well as standards for Minnesota POST license eligibility.

The application consists of three parts:

1. A personal history form to be completed by the applicant.

2. An endorsement from, to be completed by a stakeholder in the candidate’s community (i.e., Religious/Spiritual Leader, Teacher, Mentor) or any licensed peace officer who has knowledge of the candidate.

3. An official transcript of law enforcement courses taken to date.  

Applications will open May 1, 2025 and close June 30th, 2025. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
