She moved to the Minnesota area as an adult and has been a member of NBPA MN since 2017. She served 6 years in the Army National Guard, holding military occupational specialty of Military Police (31B) and Internment/Resettlement Specialist (31E) for both the state of Texas and Minnesota. Following her service in the National Guard, she served an additional 3 years with the Army Reserve. He grew up in North Minneapolis and attended DeLaSalle High School. Following high school, he attended the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, where he obtained a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. Officer Jenkins worked as a computer engineer before deciding to pursue a career in law enforcement. He began his career with the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office as a licensed deputy. She became interested in law enforcement after taking an introduction to criminal justice class and becoming a police explorer. Officer Michael attended Metropolitan state university where she completed her bachelors degree. He attended Inver Hills Community College where he completed his Associates of Applied Science to Law Enforcement and Associates of Arts Degrees. Officer Slaughter has been a top DWI-Enforcer for his agency receiving several recognitions from Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the MN Office of Traffic Safety.
